Special Orders
Is there something you would like that you don’t see on our website? Please call us toll-free at (800) 331-6644 to special order items. We will get it and ship it to you, usually with no delay.
Item Availability
Many items we offer are available online immediately. Sometimes we need to order a product from our supplier to complete an order, which usually only takes an additional day for shipping. If you need an item immediately and want it shipped Second or Next Day Air, contact us immediately and we will let you know the product’s availability and the shipping charges.
Payment Options / Billing Policy
We accept credit card payments from Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and PayPal accounts. We do not accept Road Rider gift cards as online payment at this time. If you have a Road Rider gift card, we invite you to come in to our storefront location to redeem it.
Secure Ordering
The security of the information regarding your order is very important to us. We have partnered with Authorize.Net, a leading payment gateway since 1996, to offer safe and secure credit card and electronic check transactions for you.
The Authorize.Net Payment Gateway manages sensitive customer information through the credit card and electronic check processing networks. Further website security is provided by Thawte. Road Rider employs a Thawte SSL Web Server Certificate which allows up to 256-bit encryption where both client and server are capable of encrypting at this level.
This technology prevents your personal information from being decoded by anyone other than Road Rider.
Once you enter the checkout page your computer will begin communicating with our server in secure mode. You know your computer is in secure mode when the "http" in the web address is replaced with "https".
Charging Your Credit Card
All orders are subject to verification and acceptance before shipping. For your security, your billing name and address must match that of the credit card used for payment. We reserve the right to cancel any order that does not match these criteria. For orders that cost more than $500, we must ship the order to the billing address.
Sales Tax
Orders shipped to a California address are automatically charged California State sales tax (8.25%). Orders shipped to an address in Santa Clara County are automatically charged the state and local tax (1.00%), for a total of 9.25% sales tax.
Shipping Policy
Within the Continental United States
Items are shipped once they are located in stock, your payment is approved, and the billing address is verified. Our default shipping method for all orders is Ground, which means your order will be delivered in 5-10 business days from the date you place your order depending on the destination and availability of items. (Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays within the United States.)
Orders over $60.00 receive free Ground shipping to the Continental United States (excluding tires). Tires cost $10 per tire to ship via Ground.
Hawaii & Alaska
Orders with Hawaiian or Alaskan addresses are shipped exclusively by UPS Ground Shipping.
International Orders & Orders from the US Territories
Road Rider does not ship internationally… yet. But if you have a nice friend in the US, see if they’ll order your gear and send it to you. We currently do not ship to U.S. territories.
PO Boxes & Military APO / FPO Addresses
Orders with PO, APO, or FPO addresses are shipped via USPS Priority Service. Orders under $60.00 are charged a $10 shipping rate; orders over $60.00 are shipped free. When completing your online transaction, please do not select UPS as a shipping method. Choosing UPS will delay your shipment.
Multiple Shipments
We do not ship products as they are available. We currently ship only complete orders.
Backorder/Delayed Order Policy
We make every effort to ship your order in a timely manner. Most products are in stock and ready to ship when you order them. If a product you ordered is backordered or requires additional time for shipping, we will email you within one business day of your order (usually sooner) with the product availability and estimated time of arrival (ETA). ETAs are only estimates and are not guaranteed. If an item from your order is backordered or delayed, we can either ship the item to you when it becomes available or cancel the order or item at your request and your credit card will not be charged.
