The Arai RX-Q High Visibility Helmet was crafted to be the ultimate street helmet. It takes all the street-necessary Arai features a step further, making it a race helmet for daily street riders. The RX-Q was designed for more upright riding positions, making it an excellent candidate for sport touring and spirited street bike riding. Its ventilation, weight, comfort, and peripheral view are matched by few street helmets. In fact, it uses the same shield as its race worthy older sister the Corsair V. Every feature has been optimized for the conditions of the real world.
Helmet Construction
The RX-Q is approved and stamped with the Snell 2010 seal
ScLc (Super Complex Laminate Construction) shell fiberglass composite is stronger, lighter, and allows the use of softer, less-dense inner shell materials. This increases rider comfort
An Outward flaring hyper-ridge increases shell strength and allows for a larger head opening. This makes the helmet easier for the rider to take on and off while also adding strength and lowering the helmet's center of gravity
The EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) one-piece liner is comprised of several density zones molded into a single piece, assisting with energy absorption during helmet impact
Ventilation
Pull-down airflow spoilers minimize helmet wind noise and aid with removing hot air from the helmet face area
Side Vent exhaust ports are "sculpted" into the helmet shape and exhaust heat more efficiently
Larger upper vent tabs are easier to switch, even with winter gloves
Inner brow vents channel cooling air in the helmet forehead area without drill holes in a critical impact zone
The FFS (Free Flow System) reduces wind noise and turbulence while exhausting hot air
Rear neck exhaust duct is preforated at the base of the lining, aiding in the removal of stale air from the helmet interior
The DDL4 ventilation system provides outstanding airflow and aerodynamic stability on the street
Arai Fit and Features
Intermediate oval (IO) interior shape
EEV (Enhanced Peripheral Vision) offers a wider eyeport (5mm each side, 10 mm total), greatly enhancing peripheral vision
LRS shield removal allows for helmet shield changing without tools or removal of the sidepods
De-mist lock tab on the helmet shield pushes forward to open and helps clear fog
Emergency release cheek pads allow emergency specialists to remove the helmet more easily and safely
Customizable cheek pads have a 5mm layer of foam that can be removed from the surface of each pad
Improved cheek pad shape extends lower toward the bottom of the helmet, supporting the lower jaw and reducing wind noise
Sound absorbing ear pad foam in the ear pocket reduces helmet noise
Advanced Dry-Cool liner uses micro water cells to improve moisture and heat transfer from the head to the airflow, so your head is cooler and dryer during a long ride. It features a softer texture, improving rider comfort
Removable and washable interior (including chin strap covers) allows for regular washing
Removable and replaceable vented neckroll removes quickly and re-installs for through washing or replacement if damaged
The Arai RX-Q High Visibility Helmet is for you if you need the one of the finest helmets designed for street motorcycling. The RX-Q was designed with many of the same features as the Corsair V, yet bears the discreet look of a sleeper road racing helmet.
